Parent Testimonials.
"Working with Dana Stehwien was truly a life-changing experience for our family. We still utilize plans and techniques that Dana introduced to my son years ago. Dana's skills, personality and professionalism have set the bar for all our son's therapist to be measured by."

“We started working with Dana when our child was 7 months old. During our time together, Dana patiently coaxed our reluctant child to go from refusing to roll, to sitting up independently, pulling to stand, and taking their first few steps. She is incredibly thoughtful in her approaches and works to meet both us and our child where we were. We would highly recommend her to any family who is looking to help their child meet their gross motor goals.

"I have two boys with multiple disabilities and they both required physical therapy after major orthopedic surgery. Dana Stehwien started seeing my sons after our release from the hospital. She was always coming up with inventive ways to encourage and push them to be more independent. Her positive approach to every visit made their recovery seem less overwhelming to all of us. I would highly recommend Dana for all of your physical therapy needs".

“Dana Stehwien is a fantastic PT. She worked with my daughter for about two years -- until age 3.5 -- when she started receiving PT at school. My daughter's gross motor skills were over a year behind her age when she started working with Dana. Dana built up the strength and motor planning that kiddo needed step by step. By the time she stopped working with Dana, she was walking -- and even trying to run.
My kid is stubborn and PT is hard work, but she was always excited when Dana arrived. My kid made huge progress in the time they worked together.
Dana has been an invaluable resource to us in these early years navigating our child's needs. I can't recommend her enough.”

“Dana was a massive blessing to my work in a Thai Government orphanage for disabled children for three years, and she was sorely missed when she returned to the USA. Dana, with her great knowledge, was able to help me develop stretching programmes and think up ideas of how to gain balance and improve walking gait. Dana loved the children in my group. They adored her, waiting with anticipation for the arrival of her car and squealing with delight on first seeing her walk towards them. Dana used her training in cranio-sacral therapy and myofascial release to ease constipation and reduce tightness in hips and spines of two students. She sought AFOs and checked them for two other children, and even sought and imported an adaptive tricycle which is still used today...she has been a support, even from the USA, in relieving concerns I've had by suggesting further exercises for the children and myself. At times when I had to go back to my home country of England, I knew that on the days she was there, the children would get a good workout. Her knowledge of which muscles, tendons, etc . needed strengthening to aid progress was one of the biggest helps. She was wonderful in the frustrating and sad times too. I thank Dana for her willingness to give up her time to volunteer with me, and for her knowledge she shared." ."
